about number system used in the signals

now we will deal with the number system which we are using in the signals....

a number system can be defined as a set of values used to represent quantity .......

let us assume the number of people attending class,the number of modules taken per student and also use numbers to represent marks obtained in the test...

things common to all numbering systems:

1.base or radix 

2.the largest value of a digit is always one less than base ..

3.each digit position represents a different multiple of base....
